The Annual General Meeting of the Club will take place at 3.00pm on Sunday 14th August 2011at the club house, it will be followed by light refreshments and food. Noimations are now invited for Office bearers for the 2011/2012 season.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING In accordance with Rule 15 of the Constitution notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Dixon Park Surf Life Saving Club incorporated will take place on Sunday 14th August, 2011 at 3.00pm. Please note that you must be a financial member (or deemed financial member) to vote at the Annual General Meeting, which means paying your fees (where appropriate) and submitting your 2011/2012 membership application on or before the Annual General Meeting although you may still attend the meeting if you are not financial. All members are encouraged to attend and show their support for the club. Light food and refreshments will be provided at the conclusion of the meeting. MOTIONS FOR CONSIDERATION BY ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 1. That Dixon Park Surf Life Saving Club incorporated renews its affiliation with Hunter Surf Life Saving inc. 2. That the fees for the 2011/2012 season be set at $50.00 in respect of renewing and new members provided that the renewing member pays his or her fees in full by 31st October, 2011. In circumstances where the renewing member fails to pay his or her fees in full by the 31st October, 2011 and thereafter seeks to renew his or her membership the fee to renew membership shall be $80.00 provided that the Executive Committee shall have a discretion to accept the sum of $50.00 from the renewing members after the 31st October, 2011 where the Executive Committee considers there are extenuating circumstances. REQUESTS FOR NOMINATIONS OF OFFICE BEARERS AND OTHER POSITIONS Nominations are now open for Executive office bearers and other officers for the 2011/2012 season. Should you wish to nominate for a position please complete a nomination form, have it signed by a proposer and seconder and return it to the Club prior to the Annual General Meeting. In the event that there is only one nomination for a position then that nominee shall be deemed to be elected. In the event that no nominations are received then nominations will be accepted from the floor.
