Due to the high seas at the Championships the events early on Day 1 were transferred to neighboring Broadbeach with a record number of entrants for the run events.

Tia finished second to former U16 Australian Cross Country Champion and current Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Ironwoman series contestant Kelly Ann Perkins from Met-Caloundra with fellow Queenslander Courtney Don Slaven from North Burleigh in third place.

Congratulations Tia.
